AGLOCO - Can I own the Internet?

29 11 2006

AGLOCO - Can I own the Internet?Okay, some of us remember how bad the AllAdvantage debacle was. And many users were left with no check, and some a pile of money owed to them - with no one to collect from. They called their model “infomediary“, and it’s basic premise was to share a large portion of their revenue with it’s users; and you know the rest of the story.

WE’LL IT’S BACK! And it’s name is AGLOCO

Yes it’s authentic, and ironically AGLOCO was conceived by a few of the former founding employees of All Advantage - so what’s up with the name? Well it’s an acronym for: is a global community. Now I am unsure if the name is 100% relevant, but I think the concept is solid in it’s execution.

Hear me out: it’s 2006, Online Advertising has grown 5X since the debacle of the first AllAdvantage network. In fact, online user behavior based targeting ad dollars have grown exponentially in yearly billings. My hunch, is if the founders are legit, and the company has a good advertising sales force, this could really take off - especially internationally.think about it, you can earn your “chunk” of the company through stock, and it’s going to be listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM) - which adds a lot of credibility and consumer/investor appeal.

Check it out by clicking here, it’s free and can only make you money (doesn’t cost a cent). It’s a “win-win”, no brainer decision.

Most accurate ip-tracing.. amazing.

29 11 2006

IP Adress LogoMost techno-geeks knew you could trace an ip back to its Country, ISP; but who knew you could locate a town and then integrate it to show on google earth.. Pretty amazing.

Another trick.. you can now find where the emails you get come from by looking at the header and tracing the ip. Now, that’s just incredibly cool.

Student tasered at UCLA library for not having his ID 11-14-06 11:30pm

17 11 2006

UCLA TaserDon’t you hate it when you forget to bring your ID to Library… and the CSO or UCPD end up zapping you like five times with a stun gun?

I am outraged as I’m sure most viewers are, this is a complete breakdown and abuse of campus police, and their authority - it’s insane. I hope this kid sues the SH*T out of the University (he’ll win with all the video being shot) - the bad part is this is one of many incidents to come.

If you listen carefully the student who was being tased, during his arrest, is heard condemning the Partriot act, and he’s right. Because now they can do things like arresting tax and tuition paying citizens with it’s over-reaching abuses of ID carrying laws. Ughhhhh.

Ready to Get Annoyed: The NYT is throwing around the term Web 3.0 already.

12 11 2006

Internet Sensation -Web 3.0 Quoted by the New York Times? WTF?“Referred to as Web 3.0, the effort is in its infancy, and the very idea has given rise to skeptics who have called it an unobtainable vision.” The idea is to create a new layer above the web — where user recomendations rule. (Sounds familiar).
