An man authorities call the “geezer bandit” robbed his fifth bank this week in San Diego County. FBI officials say an elderly, thin, gray-haired man nicknamed the “Geezer Bandit” is responsible for holding up five San Diego-area banks since summer. FBI officials officials said the man robbed a Bank of America in La Jolla on Monday evening, brandishing a gun and demanding money from a teller.

Three rewards totaling $16,000 are being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an elderly bank robber that the FBI and local law enforcement agencies have dubbed the “Geezer Bandit.”

  1. I’m surprised we don’t see more elderly folks engaged in crime with the terrible economy. They have less options than other groups for making money, and not to sound insensitive, less to lose.
