55 Beached Whales South Africa
Fifty-five whales stranded on S.African beach: Scientific American

KOMMETJIE BEACH, South Africa Reuters – About 55 whales were stranded on a beach near Cape Town on Saturday and high waves were hampering efforts by rescue teams to get them back into the water.

Volunteers and marine scientists worked to save the whales shortly after the adults and calves first came ashore in bad weather at 1:30 a.m. EDT 0530 GMT, said Craig Lambinon, spokesman for the National Sea Rescue Institute NSRI.

IMHO – A horrible tragedy, as 55 whales beached themselves off the coast of South Africa – 3 are confirmed dead, and the bad weather is hampering rescue attempts drastically. Local groups and the National Sea Rescue Institute is trying to help as many Whales as possible. Could this be from Sonar or other Submariner activity? or is it a sick pod that lost it’s way? Hopefully a full autopsy of the recently deceased whales will tell us more.

Cheers,
Jeremy

Al Gore Testimony on Climate Change | House Foreign Relations Committee

Al Gore’s 15 part Testimony on Climate Change and Crisis from 1/28/09. This is not very long and his position is very well articulated. I recommend all residents of Earth view this – that means you!

What is Global Warming? | From ClimateCrisis.net

Carbon dioxide and other gases warm the surface of the planet naturally by trapping solar heat in the atmosphere. This is a good thing because it keeps our planet habitable. However, by burning fossil fuels such as coal, gas and oil and clearing forests we have dramatically increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the Earth’s atmosphere and temperatures are rising.

The vast majority of scientists agree that global warming is real, it’s already happening and that it is the result of our activities and not a natural occurrence.1 The evidence is overwhelming and undeniable.

We’re already seeing changes. Glaciers are melting, plants and animals are being forced from their habitat, and the number of severe storms and droughts is increasing.

Mr. Gore addressed the Senate House Foreign Relations Committee on January 28, 2009 – way to go Al!

Workplace Stress is a Killer – 3 ideas to cut stress and live a longer life!

7 12 2008

1. Stop watching television. Find a substitute such as reading books, doing crafts, talk to people, cook a special meal, plan an activity. T.V. has a lot of shock value. Even the most congenial shows will advertise what is coming up on the “10:00 news”!
2. Go outside and take a walk. Look at the things in the world around you. Notice the hundreds of little scraps of beauty around you. The most unsettling events are thoughts that exist in the interior of your mind. Looking at your environment allows you to go outside your thoughts.
3. Practice kindness. You may be having a tough time but you can still help others. Help is a flow of positive energy from you to another. It produces a great effect. It affects the giver as much as the receiver. When a person realizes they can help it restores their sense of purpose and renews your vitality.

detox-patch-packageAre health problems slowing you down and ruining your life? The all-natural, Authentic Detox Patch can help today! The NEW Dtox Patch brand of patches is amazing!

For those not familiar with the product, detox patches are basically an absorbent pad with adhesive around the edges that can be stuck to the body. The patches are filled with powdered ingredients such as bamboo vinegar, wood vinegar and mushrooms, which are supposed to draw the toxins out of the body onto the pad. The user puts on a clean white pad on the affected body part, sleeps eight hours with it in place, then removes the pad the next morning to find it filled with a gunky black sludge that is supposed to be the toxins pulled from the body by the pad.

Their formulation for the Detox Patch has been in development for thousands of years. Chinese villagers have long used the sap of Oak, Beech and Sakura trees to make a potent topical salve that treats infections and irritations. Scientists discovered a highly processed formulation of these powerful ingredients could comfortably absorb toxins through your skin and out of your body. Today, the patch is a convenient and comfortable way to cleanse your body – naturally.

12 Year Old Girl Silences the UN!

5 06 2008

Raised in Vancouver and Toronto, Severn Cullis-Suzuki has been camping and hiking all her life. When she was 9 she started the Environmental Children’s Organization (ECO), a small group of children committed to learning and teaching other kids about environmental issues. They were successful in many projects before 1992, when they raised enough money to go to the UN’s Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. Their aim was to remind the decision-makers of who their actions or inactions would ultimately affect. The goal was reached when 12 yr old Severn closed a Plenary Session with a powerful speech that received a standing ovation.

This 12 Year old makes more sense than any politician I have ever heard. Please dupe, shout, get this video out!!
